Fund Overview

The Motley Fool Great America Fund seeks excellent small and mid-cap companies at what we consider to be attractive prices. We look for well-managed companies that boast strong financial positions and operate in industries that our management team truly understands. Performing rigorous, fundamental analysis, we dissect each company's strategy, competitive position, operations, and performance, and we review all pertinent public documents and official communications about the company. We purchase high quality businesses with an intention to hold for years because long-term buy and hold investing allows for value to compound in a tax efficient manner. We will sell when business quality deteriorates or the valuation of the shares becomes unattractive. As part of our assessment to sell shares, we consider industry developments including technological advances, intensifying competition, and regulatory changes.
